Hardware needed for the evaluation process

Appropriate video/image equipment with possibility of taking digitized images for standardized retroillumination photographs is recommended.

Until now, we have worked with two different digital cameras, the Kodak Digital Microscope Camera and the Kodak DCS 420. Both systems are commercially available and allow an immediate image transfer to the computer.

1) Zeiss Slitlamp, 2) Kodak DMC camera, 3) Notebook

The Software EPCO2000 was developed by Kai Mehltretter, MD and Klaus Sauer, MD, Mannheim, Germany.
It was written in Delphi 4.0 and was first released in 1997. The new updated version EPCO2000 was initially released 15 th September 2000.

The software including sample images is delivered only via internet download and needs aproximatly 35 MB free space on hard disk.

The program runs on a Pentium PC with Windows™ 95/NT/2000/XP/Vista.

It is recommended to install the software to the path proposed by the program.

Beside the slitlamp and the camera further equipment is needed:

Important note: To get an unlimited version of EPCO2000 it is necessary to transfer the serial-number of your EPCO2000. This is an unique number, that depends on your computer hardware. So if you buy EPCO2000 you buy one licence for the specified computer ! It is not possible to install the unlimited version on several computers, otherwise you own multiple licences!
